Many employers are still confused about the proper legal process of hiring a domestic helper (maid) in Malaysia. This article explains the full step-by-step process based on the latest government-approved procedure — written in simple English, easy for anyone to understand.

1. Consultation & Employer Eligibility Check

Before anything begins, the agency will:

  • Review your income & monthly commitments

  • Check if you are blacklisted or restricted by immigration

  • Understand your needs (childcare, elderly care, housework, special needs)

2. Maid Selection Process

You will be given several candidates through:

  • Live or recorded video interview

  • Work experience & skills profile

  • Personality & language ability

3. Agreement Signing & Deposit Payment
